Studio Ponoc recently released a Trailer and a Key Visual of their Upcoming Anime Movie “The Imaginary”, which is based on the novel of the same name by A.F. Harrold and Emily Gravett.
The film tells the story of Rudger, a boy who is created by the imagination of a young girl named Amanda. Rudger is invisible to everyone except Amanda, and he must find a way to stay by her side when she loses her imagination.
The film is directed by Yoshiyuki Momose,
who previously directed the Studio Ponoc films Mary and the Witch’s Flower and The Secret of Kells. The screenplay is written by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who also wrote the screenplay for Mary and the Witch’s Flower.The film is scheduled to be released in Japan on December 15, 2023
