Studio Ghibli’s Co-Founder and Director, Hayao Miyazaki is back after 10 Years with his New Film “The Boy and The Heron”. The Film has already been released in Japan on July 14 with absolutely no marketing. The film has received positive reviews from critics, who have praised its animation, story, and themes. The Film is yet to release worldwide.
For now, the Introduction Video for the upcoming Studio Ghibli film “The Boy and the Heron” has been released on September 2, 2023.
The Introduction Video confirms that Fans will get to see the teaser for the film on September 6, 2023. The teaser will be released online and will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where the film will be the opening night gala film.
Studio Ghibli has also released a few still images from their movie “The Boy and the Heron” recently.
These images give a glimpse of the film’s beautiful animation style and its focus on nature. They also hint at the film’s story, which is said to be about a young boy who learns about the importance of compassion and understanding from a heron.

Mahito, a young 12-year-old boy, struggles to settle in a new town after his mother’s death. However, when a talking heron informs Mahito that his mother is still alive, he enters an abandoned tower in search of her, which takes him to another world.
