Based on the popular game of the same name, the NieR: Automata anime adaptation was a highly awaited spectacle that was released in January 2023. The series was receptive to several mixed reactions and also faced many production issues which eventually pushed back its final episodes to July 2023.

NieR:Automata Ver1.1a Part 2 is set to release on July 5th, 2024 in the Summer anime season. It will continue to be adapted by A-1 Pictures, which is most known for anime such as Sword Art Online and Kaguya-sama.

After humanity is driven to the brink of extinction by machine lifeforms, they are forced to retreat and take refuge on the moon. To fight back, they organize a resistance group of android soldiers led by “2B” as they battle to reclaim Earth from the mysterious enemy.
Through this long war in a wasteland, the androids soon find that there are several secrets that are hidden in the shadows and could completely change their understanding of the truth.
Smooth animation, memorable characters, explosive fight scenes and an engrossing plot make this a series worth watching.
