JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2: “Shibuya Incident Arc” New Trailer, Key Visual and Release date!!

On August 24th Studio MAPPA revealed the New Trailer and Key Visual for the next arc of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 titled “Shibuya Incident Arc”.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 – Shibuya Incident Arc New Trailer!

The new arc will have 18 Episodes & is scheduled to start airing from AUGUST 31st (Thursday) and will adapt Chapters 79-136 of the manga which covers the Shibuya Incident Arc. Many manga readers consider this arc as the best in the series because of its fights, character dynamics and long term effects that the Incident that took place in Shibuya has on the story & world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

After adapting the Hidden Inventory/ Premature Death Arc in the Season 2 of anime (Ep 1-5) Studio MAPPA announced that anime will be going a 3-week break, this break was essential for the director (Shouta Goshozono aka GOSSO) and staff if they wanted to maintain the incredible direction, visuals and animation that was showcased in Ep 1-5 of Season 2. The main cause behind this 3-week is the tight production schedule of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. A lot of staff for JJK Season 2 comes from studio MAPPA’s recent CHAINSAW MAN (12 Episodes) anime production which finished airing in December end of 2022 i.e just 6 months before the start of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 which will have 23 Episodes. This would mean that the staff was either parallel working on both titles or was asked to immediately start working on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 as soon as CHAINSAW MAN’s production was completed.

But as we can see from the trailer, which is full of amazing action sequences the staff has utilized this 3 week break to the fullest. Some of the scenes from the trailer already have fans hyped up for the upcoming episodes of JJK Season 2.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is streaming in India on Netflix and Crunchyroll weekly and it was also previously announced that Crunchyroll will be dubbed the anime in Hindi in Fall(~October) of 2023.
