Best Unfinished Anime that Need to Return

Despite having great stories and several viewers, several anime often remain unfinished while never completely adapting their source material. This often leaves a sour taste in the mouth of fans, but nevertheless, are still great shows worth checking out. In this list, we will be taking a look at the best among the huge bunch of unfinished anime.

7. My Little Monster

Shizuku is a serious girl who cares very little about those around her and only focuses on her studies. This changes after she meets the energetic and violent Haru, a boy with a bad reputation who immediately confesses his feelings for her. Despite the two of them not knowing much about human interactions, they gradually grow closer to each other and learn to explore their emotions.

As a series that seemed to have a lot of potential, My Little Monster was a very enjoyable love story that seemed to stop in its tracks before any significant romantic development between its protagonists.

6. Hyouka

Oreki is a normal young boy who wishes to conserve as much energy as possible and live a relaxing school life. After being pushed to join the Classics Club, he meets the bubbly Eru Chitanda, whose personality is the exact opposite of his. Along with her, he gets dragged into solving many of the school’s mysteries while also building bonds with other classmates.

Hyouka is a charming anime with stunning visuals, likable characters and an enjoyable slice of life story. With a lot of content left to adapt but no further information about a sequel since the anime originally aired in 2012, fans hold very little hope for the anime to continue.

5. Gangsta

Set in the city of Egastalum, Nicholas and Worick are handymen who act as mercenaries carrying out the dirty work for everyone from the police to the mafia. With the danger of “Twilights”, people with supernatural abilities, our protagonists’ jobs just got much harder.

However, one day, they discover a shocking truth regarding their world and the fate that awaits the children of the orphanage. The Promised Neverland anime was one with infinite potential that came crashing down with its second season rushing to an ending while skipping most major arcs. Due to this, fans of the series still consider the story unfinished and hope for a remake.

2. Nana

Nana Osaki and Nana Komatsu are two drastically different people with the same name who end up living in the same apartment after shifting to Tokyo. With the former being an aspiring musician and the latter being a naive girl searching for love, they will learn to support each other while being a crutch to lean on whenever one of them faces difficulty.
